The Port of Gdansk Authority has been working on the concept of development of the Central Port for nearly a year. The first terminals may be ready as soon as 2029.

New members of the agreement of terminal operators and logistics centres in Central and Eastern Europe
Members of the agreement have met in in the headquarter of the Port of Gdynia. As the result, six new members have jointed the initiative – logistics operator PKP Cargo Connect Ltd., Baltic Container Terminal Ltd., Advanced World Transport a.s. (PKP CARGO group) and autorities of Polish ports Elbląg, Kołobrzeg and Police.
