A preparatory meeting was held in front of the 2nd CEEC – China Transport Ministers’ Meeting & Business Forum. It will be linked to a business forum bringing together businesses in the transport sector, in particular maritime transport.
In the preparatory meeting representatives of the ministries responsible for transport and embassies accredited in Poland took part. The session was opened by Anna Moskwa, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Shipping, who introduced the discussion on preparatory actions before the October summit in Warsaw. Representatives of the ministry presented the concept of functioning of the 16 + 1 Coordinating Secretariat for Maritime Issues 16+1 and the schedule of upcoming events.
The theme of the 2nd Summit of Transport Ministers, to be held October 25-26 in Warsaw, will be “Intermodality – a guarantee of efficient transport for the benefit of the economy”.
During the preparatory meeting, details of the program of the Transport Minister and the Business Forum were discussed and the organizational issues of the foreign delegates’ stay in Warsaw were discussed. Representatives of the “16 + 1” countries also provided information on the participation of their ministers and other delegates in the event in October. After meeting at the Ministry’s office, the participants also visited the PGE Narodowy, where the event will be held.
