From 12th and 16th of May the delegation of Zhejiang Ocean University in China have paid a visit in Szczecin, where it met the authorities of Maritime University. The purpose of the meeting was to clarify the scope of collaboration between universities which is to start in academic year 2019/20.
Apart from scientific studies and research, the co-action between Szczecin and Zhejiang Ocean will cover students exchange and Master level studies in the field of navigation.
-We’ve been talking about first groups of students who, at the beginning of coming academic year, can join our English spoken groups- said prof. Artur Bejger who is deputy dean for research at the Maritime University of Szczecin. He also added: – What is important, during the talks held in Szczecin, we also established a wide range of opportunities for our students who leave to study at Zhejiang Ocean University.
In a further perspective it is planned to extend the cooperation also to other majors which are offered by the Maritime University. The Chinese are also interested in collaboration with mechanical engineering as well as “land” majors offered by both universities. The contract signed during the delegation visit in Szczecin provides for cooperation within all the programs run by the university.
